Airbus A350

Flying intercontinentally? Meet our Airbus A350 –– the airplane type you might find waiting at the gate.

About the Airbus A350

The Airbus A350 marks a major milestone in our ongoing fleet renewal, replacing an older generation of airplane types like the A330. A state-of-the-art twin-aisle airplane type, the A350 is our most fuel-efficient and quiet airplane yet. And with its more pleasant climate and higher cabin pressure, it’s very comfortable for passengers.

This airplane type is used for long-haul flights, so if you’re traveling intercontinentally, you might be boarding an A350.

Airplane names

Our A350 airplanes are all named after iconic Dutch artworks. And what better name for the first A350 in our fleet than The Night Watch (‘De Nachtwacht’ in Dutch)? Arguably the Netherlands’ most famous painting, it was created by Rembrandt van Rijn in 1642. If you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, head over to the Rijksmuseum to see it in person!
